• I picked this up for my Network Security class this year. I was happy to see that it was only like $10 when I got it but it really is not that great. It is slightly outdated but still worth the time if you are looking for a cheap book to help you with a certificate.
• I bought this book for a college Network Security Course... Well written and it helped explain, different options to have a secure network and different kinds of threats to networks.

• This book does an excellent job in presenting network security practices and tools to the reader. The only but I have with the book is that some of the systems discussed are kinda outdated (e.g., Windows 9.x, Windows 2000).
• "Network Security The complete Reference" is an excellent book for security and network professionals alike. This book comes very close to living up to its ambitious title. It covers almost everything. Network architecture, operating system security, risk assessment, security polices and writing secure code and everything between are covered. This is an excellent reference book for all security conscious IT professionals.

This book is very complete and not only explain the concepts of network security but Information Security in the general context. The topics are technical as well as administrative. Explain how the security should be implemented and assessed or audited. I really improved my knowledge and my productivity in my job.
