- Bought this book from yesterday and have just finished it. IT WAS EVERYTHING I WANTED. I grew up reading The Rock Rats series by Ben Bova, absolutely loved them because they felt so near-future. This book definitely felt like something we could see happening in the next 10 years.
Suarez is my favourite author and has never let me down. You can tell he definitely does his due diligence when it comes to researching, everything felt so plausible.

- Daniel Suarez is a hot-rodding angel of a writer. This book is the best I have read since the Martian in 2014. The best in 5 years. A must read that resounds all of the articles fit to print about asteroid mining. How to get there, what to find, how to mine it, and the perils of ever making it home. I truly loved this book and cannot wait for the sequel to save those left behind.
- Daniel Suarez has brought clarity to the issues and problems we will have mining asteroids but has shown how we can overcome them with ingenuity and grit. This is truly an amazing story along the lines of Isaac Asimov and Ben Bova. The people involved are believable and the science behind these concepts is real. I really do hope there is a sequel.
- Yet another excellent tech forward thinking read from Daniel Suarez! Daemon is still my personal favorite but this book captured me in the first few pages. A satisfying conclusion but with a few cliffhangers. I hope this means there is a sequel in the works.
- You can't help but think we're actually only a few years away from this situation really happening. Real politics are going to be in play when you're talking about space commerce, just as much as real science. Suarez tackles both expertly and quickly takes you millions of miles away on a fantastic journey. Awesome characters and intense drama, space, science, and intrigue. Just buy it, it's worth it. As are his other books. Great work, Daniel!
- I liked this a lot. Good story. Suspenseful and kept me interested. I hadn't read anything like this before and am really glad I picked it up.
- If you liked Suarez’s other books you’ll like this one. It does read a little like it was written to be turned into a movie (e.g. pretty simple plot) but still enjoyable.
